Throughout the Tour de France, Australian professional cyclist Richie Porte will be checking in. Here is his latest entry, as told to ESPN contributor Rupert Guinness:Stage 15: Bourg-en-Bresse to Culoz, 160kmFew would argue that Chris Froome has got a solid overall lead in the Tour de France. He is well positioned to win a third Tour de France when the race finishes in Paris on Sunday.Yes ... he has the time - that being a 1:45 overall lead on Bauke Mollema (Trek-Segafredo) and 2:45 on Adam Yates (Orica-Bike Exchange). And he has the team in his Sky teammates. But the Tour is such an unpredictable race. As we have all seen, things can happen on the road; and Im not meaning outside of the race with incidents like what happened on stage 12 to Mont Ventoux where Froome, Mollema and I crashed into a television motor bike blocked by crowds as we were in a break. Theres still a lot of climbing to come, for instance. But that doesnt mean we cant try and do something in the mountains of the Alps that we will be racing in from Wednesday to Saturday, including for Thursdays stage 18 time trial.Froome is looking good to win, but even if we cant break him, the podium is still a massive goal for a number of us in the top 10 overall. There is quite a bottle neck for the podium.Myself and teammate Tejay van Garderen are still hopeful of having a say on all this, with myself placed seventh overall at 4:27, and van Garderen in eighth position now at 4:47. So there is still a lot to race for, and for that alone, you can expect a lot of action in the Alps. Many are wondering why Froome was not subjected to more challenges on Sunday, in the 15th stage from Bourg-en-Bresse to Culoz in the Jura that included six categorised climbs. But the 160km stage was hell. It was such a hard day. It was hard, brutal stage. With Sky I controlling it so well, it didnt really make sense to try to launch a big attack, especially with that downhill from the top of the last climb, the Lacets du Grand Colombier and the flat.I guess if people could have attacked on Sunday, they would have. That they didnt, except for Alejandro Valverde (Movistar), Fabio Aru (Astana) and Romain Bardet (Ag2r-La Mondiale) with digs on the last climb, shows how hard it was. Everyone was on the limit.Considering the day was as hard as it was, I am feeling great going into the third week. But now, I feel upbeat. The body feels good. It helps knowing there is everything to race for.Mondays 16th stage, over 209km from Moirans-en-Montagne to Berne in Switzerland where we will spend Tuesdays rest day, should suit a break. But we still need to be alert. It would be nice to just have a straight forward day on Monday. But there are a lot of tired bodies in the peloton. There is also quite a tricky finish; so there is no room for letting your guard down. On days like Tuesday you cant switch off for a second because its the Tour. The Tour is the event of the year. Its where everyone wants to win something and where everyone is up for anything. But decision making can get dodgy when fatigued and the third week of the Tour can make a massive difference between taking a positive or negative risk. There is a lot of fatigue in the peloton. Trust me. If you dont youll see it during the week. Cheap NFL Jerseys For Sale . LIVERPOOL, England -- With the tackles flying in and the noise levels ramping up inside Goodison Park, Arsenals players faced a huge test of their Premier League title credentials in the final minutes of a tight game against Everton. They caved in.Ashley Williams headed home an 86th-minute winner on Tuesday to earn Everton a 2-1 victory and end Arsenals 14-match unbeaten run in the league. A win would have lifted Arsenal into first place.Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger blamed a number of factors: refereeing decisions, Evertons physicality, misfortune. In the end, it was poor marking from two crosses that proved Arsenals undoing.Leading through Alexis Sanchezs deflected free kick -- his 12th goal of the season -- Arsenal conceded an equalizer just before halftime when Evertons full backs combined, with Leighton Baines crossing for Seamus Coleman to head home unmarked in the middle of the area.Evertons winning goal also came from a curling cross into the area, with Williams rising unchallenged to meet Ross Barkleys corner. Williams last goal was also against Arsenal, back in March when the Wales defender was a Swansea player.Arsenal missed the presence and positioning of Shkodran Mustafi, the Germany center back who was injured in the 3-1 win over Stoke at the weekend and will be sidelined for the next three weeks. Arsenal has lost three matches this season -- twice in the league, to Liverpool and now Everton, and against Southampton in the League Cup -- and Mustafi didnt play in any of them.Wengers team also lacked spark going forward, which was surprising considering Arsenal arrived at Goodison Park in free-scoring form with at least three goals in each of its last three games. On tough nights like these, Arsenal also missed the creativity in central midfield of Santi Cazorla, who is also injured.Everton has been Arsenals most obliging opponent in the Premier Leagues 24-year history, with the Gunners winning the fixture 29 times annd with just one loss in the past 18 meetings.ddddddddddddNot this time. Not when the atmosphere is like it was in the final 10 minutes. We came back with great character, Everton manager Ronald Koeman said. If you show that aggression and commitment, it is difficult to beat Everton at Goodison Park. There was even room for Koeman to aim a little dig at Wenger following the Arsenal managers criticism of referee Mark Clattenburg. I am not surprised about Wenger and his comments, Koeman said. Its the third time in a row I won at home against Arsenal and three times in a row it was about the referee. There was one more match in the Premier League on Tuesday, with Leicester continuing its poor away form in its stuttering title defense:---BOURNEMOUTH 1, LEICESTER 0Marc Pughs 34th-minute goal consigned Leicester to a seventh loss in eight away games this campaign. The champions drew their other away game, at Tottenham.Leicester failed to build on its 4-2 win over Manchester City on Saturday, with Pugh scoring on the rebound after Benik Afobes shot was parried by goalkeeper Ron-Robert Zieler. The result is too severe against us because we created more chances than Bournemouth, Leicester manager Claudio Ranieri said. I wanted a little more.Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe described his teams defensive effort in the second half as heroic.Leicester stayed in 14th and four points above the relegation zone, having played a game more than the teams below the Midlands club---WEDNESDAYS GAMESThe 16th round of games continues with first-place Chelsea looking to go six points clear with a win at last-place Sunderland. In other standout games, Manchester United visits Crystal Palace, Manchester City looks to recover from back-to-back losses in a home match against Watford, and third-place Liverpool travels to Middlesbrough.
