FRANKFURT, Germany -- German sporting goods maker Adidas says it is stopping financial aid to the national anti-doping agency as of the end of the year.Adidas spokesman Oliver Brueggen says the company told the anti-doping agency in the spring that it will not renew the contract, which is reportedly worth 300,000 euros ($325,000) each year.Brueggen says Adidas wants to stay in connection with NADA and is currently in talks over other forms of cooperation.The spokesman says Adidas remains committed to the fight against doping and that all contracts with athletes contain a clause that the deal will be immediately terminated in case of a positive drug test.
