Players in the National Womens Hockey League will play at least one more game but want more information before agreeing to a 50 percent salary cut the commissioner says is necessary to save the season.Brant Feldman, an agent who represents numerous top NWHL players, said on Twitter Saturday that the Boston Pride will play at Buffalo on Sunday. Feldman called the decision to play a sign of good of faith and challenged the league to do the same in responding to player demands.Feldman said the players have been placed in a difficult position because the NWHL may cease operations if the games arent played. The other game Sunday features the Connecticut Whale at the New York Riveters. The four-team league is in its second season, and its future has been thrust into question a day after NWHL Commissioner Dani Rylan announced the salary cuts. Rylan is the founder of the NWHL, whose business model is essentially a startup venture supported by investors and corporate sponsors.Last year, the NWHL became North Americas first womens hockey league to pay player salaries, which range from $10,000 to $26,000. The salary cuts represent as much as $540,000 in savings. On Saturday, several players said on Twitter they were willing to work with the league but sought more information and transparency. The players asked for proof of insurance, a third-party audit, the names of league investors and an explanation for the revenue shortfall.Without specifically mentioning players concerns, Rylan said in a statement she hoped to continue a positive, constructive dialogue with the players over the next two weeks. The players have many concerns and disappointments, and I understand that completely, Rylan said. I deeply appreciate that, despite the emotions of the last two days, they have continued with their preparation for tomorrows games. On Friday, Rylan blamed the cash crunch on the league falling short of projections, including declining attendance a month into the season.Players will be required to sign an addendum to their contracts for the cuts to take effect. Its unclear if the players will do that before their games Sunday, and whether the NWHL will allow the games to be played if the restructured contracts arent signed.Riveters defenseman Ashley Johnston said players were surprised by the salary-cut announcement, and called the decision gut-wrenching.Feldman wrote that the players have been put in an impossible position because they do not know the leagues true financial health. He added that the players want the league to succeed, but there must be a true partnership.---AP Sports Writer Jimmy Golen contributed to this report.Morten Andersen Saints Jersey . That 13-kick streak puts him three marks shy of his own school record 16 in a row set last season. He has been the biggest bright spot on a team that is 2-2 entering Saturdays game with Louisiana-Monroe (1-2) and has drawn an unusual amount of attention for a kicker. Its been a lot of fun, but Im just a part of this team, Carlson said. I know my role is just to help out this team, and its a role that I can be the hero or the goat. If I keep making kicks, it goes well. But once I start missing kicks, people are going to question, `Hey, whats he doing? Thats why I enjoy it. There is a lot of pressure, but that makes it exciting. When you do well, that makes it really fun.In that case, hes having a blast this season.A Lou Groza Award finalist as a sophomore last season, Carlson has missed only once in his last 30 attempts. He even ran for a touchdown on a fake field goal against Arkansas State.Carlson has been especially important to Auburn because the offense has struggled to reach the end zone, and also because the Tigers dont have to get all that close for Carlson to have a good shot at three points. He has seven career fiield goals of 50 yards or more, including a 53-yarder this season against Clemson and a 51-yarder in the LSU game.dddddddddddd Carlson has missed only once from that range.Hes a game-changer. Hes a weapon, Auburn coach Gus Malzahn said. Youve got confidence to let him kick it 50-plus. Theres not a whole lot of coaches that have that luxury.Carlsons last 17 kickoffs have resulted in touchbacks -- and one fumbled attempt to field it by a photographer behind the end zone against LSU that made the rounds on social media.Dont try to catch his kicks, Malzahn advised. The coach said he might let Carlson attempt a 60-yarder at some point this season. Carlson said hes made a couple of 70-yarders at home in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and in practice at Auburn. He wound up at Auburn in a roundabout way. His parents attended the University of Alabama and his grandparents live in Trussville, outside Birmingham, and steadfastly root for the Crimson Tide, though Carlson says theyll come and cheer for me every once in a while. My dad came over from Sweden. I didnt want to stay in Colorado, Carlson said. They ended up living in Colorado just because they couldnt figure out whether to live in Europe or Alabama. I grew up watching SEC football.
