The main event for the IEM Oakland Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournament has begun. With FaZe Clan and Astralis having claimed their spots in the semifinals by virtue of finishing first in their respective groups, four teams were left to battle it out for the remaining semifinal spots. SK Gaming prevailed in a close 2-1 series over G2 Esports, while Ninjas in Pyjamas swept Immortals in a quick series.SK Gaming builds unstoppable momentumDespite claiming the series win overall, SK certainly got off to a slow start in its quarterfinals match against G2. The teams were on Nuke for the first game, and G2 showed that it wasnt messing around one bit. The European squad got out to a 10-5 lead at halftime before winning six of the final seven rounds to claim a 16-6 Game 1 win.But that trouncing in Game 1 paled in comparison to the performance that SK put together in Game 2 versus Train. The outcome was almost never in doubt, as SK took a 10-5 lead into the half and then shut out G2 in the second half for a 16-5 win. Gabriel FalleN Toledo led the way with a stellar 22/6 kills/deaths stat line and 104.8 average damage per round (ADR).Heading into the final game of the series, it felt like SK had gotten into a bit of a rhythm and was destined to have a big game on the third map, Dust 2. And thats exactly what happened. FalleN was once again head and shoulders above the pack, putting together a brilliant start to the match. He had 14 kills before he finally died for the first time in Round 12. SK went into the half up 12-3 and then won four straight rounds in the second half to take the series. The Brazilian team is humming and will look to continue its high level of play in Sundays semifinal match against Astralis.A lopsided win for Ninjas in PyjamasThe second series of the day was not nearly as exciting as the first. Before this event, Immortals had been playing extremely well of late, and were looking to make a deep run at IEM Oakland. The team was matched up against the old guard of Ninjas in Pyjamas, though, who showed the Brazilian squad whos boss. NiP proved that it doesnt matter what side or map its on, as it put together a dominant showing in a lopsided win.In each match of the series, NiP took a major lead into the half -- 11-4 during Game 1 and 12 -3 in Game 2 -- and never really let up. Game 1 was the closest, as Immortals did manage to grab nine wins in the 16-9 loss, but NiP absolutely closed the door on the series in Game 2, taking the map 16-4. Immortals will turn its attention back to the Esports Championship Series Season 2, where it is currently battling for a playoff spot. NiP will now move on to the semifinals to take on FaZe Clan.It all comes down to this. The final four teams have been set, with $125,000 of the $300,000 prize pool on the line at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, California on Sunday. The day will start off with Astralis taking on SK before FaZe Clan will meet NiP. The winners of those matches will then head to the finals that evening to determine the victor. The action will kick off at 1:00 PM EST, and you wont want to miss this one.Anthony Davis Lakers Jersey . He connected with first-round pick Will Fuller on a 26-yard touchdown pass that extended Houstons lead to 24-10 before sitting down with about three minutes left in the first half.It was Osweilers second successful outing after he and Houstons starting offense struggled in the teams first preseason game. The expectations for Osweiler are high after the Texans signed Peyton Mannings former backup to a $72 million contract this offseason. While Osweiler was solid, Houstons starting defense starred. Andre Hal intercepted Palmers second pass of the day to set up Houstons first score, a 1-yard touchdown run by new running back Lamar Miller.Palmers second drive was his only clean one, and it ended with a 3-yard touchdown run by David Johnson. On Arizonas next possession, linebacker John Simon tipped a pass by Palmer, intercepted it and returned it 59 yards for a touchdown. It was the second straight game in which Palmer had an interception returned for a touchdown after Brandon Flowers did it in last week in a 9-3 loss at San Diego.Palmer attempted to tackle Simon after the interception and was tackled by 305-pound defensive end Devon Still, a hit that knocked the quarterbacks helmet off. Coach Bruce Arians had seen enough after that hit, and Palmer was replaced by Drew Stanton.Fuller finished with 67 yards receiving and fellow rookie Braxton Miller, the former Ohio State star quarterback, added three receptions for 29 yards. The Texans chose Fuller in the first round this year to take pressure off Pro Bowler DeAndre Hopkins, who was third in the NFL with 1,521 yards receiving last season despite facing near constant double teams. He had two receptions for 31 yards on Sunday.INJURY UPDATECardinals: CB Mike Jenkins, who had recently returned after having surgery to repair a broken bone in his right hand, was carted off the field after injuring his right knee in the first quarter. He was injured when he was juked by Hopkins and immmediately crumpled to the ground.dddddddddddd He appeared to be in a lot of pain as he was helped to the cart, and slammed his right hand on the cart in disgust before he was taken to the locker room.All-Pro safety Tyrann Mathieu, who came off the physically unable to perform list last week after knee surgery, was expected to play on Sunday, but remained on the sideline in a T-shirt and shorts.Texans: K Nick Novak returned after sitting out most of the week after getting a concussion against the Saints last week. He made a 44-yard field goal in the first quarter and added one from 42 yards in the fourth.CLOWNEY STANDING OUTOutside linebacker Jadeveon Clowney had three tackles and put pressure on Palmer and Stanton often on Sunday, leading Houstons defense with Defensive Player of the Year J.J. Watt still out after back surgery. The performance comes a week after Clowney sacked Drew Brees for a 14-yard loss in a win over the Saints. The top overall pick in the 2014 draft is looking for a breakout year after failing to produce in his first two injury-plagued seasons.POSITION BATTLESCardinals: Jenkins had been among three players the mix to start at cornerback opposite star Patrick Peterson. If his injury is as severe as it appears, Arians will now have just Brandon Williams and Justin Bethel as candidates for the job.Texans: C Greg Mancz started at center on Sunday in the position left open when rookie second-round pick Nick Martin had season-ending ankle surgery this week. But he struggled with some protections on Sunday, leaving open the possibility that offseason free agent acquisition Tony Bergstrom could get another shot at the job.ROOKIE WATCHCardinals: Undrafted free-agent Chris Hubert had a 43-yard touchdown reception in the fourth quarter.Texans: Fourth-round pick Tyler Ervin looks to have solidified his position as the teams kick returner after returning one for 58 yards on Sunday. Irvin also had two carries for 13 yards and a 20-yard reception.---Online:AP NFL website: www.pro32.ap.org and AP NFL Twitter feed: www.twitter.com/AP-NFL ' ' '
