LOS ANGELES -- Steve Kerr and Luke Walton remained close friends and daily confidantes after their coaching careers sent them to opposite ends of California this summer.Although theyve enjoyed the chance to spend time together while the Warriors and the Lakers played each other five times in the past 43 days, theyll both be grateful for a little space in this rivalry.Particularly after a game that neither coach enjoyed at all.Kevin Durant had 29 points, nine assists and six rebounds, and Golden State beat injury-depleted Los Angeles for the second time in three days, 109-85 on Friday night. It looked like a Thanksgiving food hangover, Walton said.Stephen Curry scored 24 points and Klay Thompson had 18 in the Warriors 10th consecutive victory. Golden State followed up its 43-point win in Oakland on Wednesday with another comfortable victory in these clubs third regular-season game in three weeks, although Kerr and Walton didnt see much to like about a sloppy post-holiday contest. It was one of the worst basketball games Ive seen in my life, Kerr said. We were awful, and they were awful. The people who bought tickets should get their money back, honestly. It almost got worse for the Warriors: Draymond Green had 12 points and eight rebounds before leaving in the third quarter with a bruised left ankle from a collision with teammate Ian Clark. Green is cautiously confident his injury isnt serious.Jordan Clarkson scored 20 points for the Lakers, who played without injured starters Julius Randle, Nick Young and DAngelo Russell. The Lakers gave up 149 points to Golden State on Wednesday, and they never made it close Friday with three of their top five scorers sidelined.Theyre the best team in the league, Clarkson said. I dont think we see them for a little while, so (we can) get that game out of our head and get our swag back.TIP-INSWarriors: After all of this early season exposure, these teams dont finish their series until April 12 in Oakland. ... Curry missed a breakaway dunk in the second quarter, drawing laughter throughout the arena. Staples Centers video board replayed the miss after the next timeout and then cut to Curry, who was grinning broadly. Ive missed dunks before, the two-time MVP said.Lakers: Clarkson moved back into LAs starting lineup with Young sidelined. Jose Calderon had seven points in his fourth start in Russells place. ... Walton said he didnt review tape of Wednesdays loss: I told our film guy I would throw him out of our room if he put that game on my laptop.ON A ROLLThe Lakers were the last team to beat the Warriors, notching a 20-point blowout on Nov. 4. Since then, Golden State has found the rhythm necessary to become the powerhouse expected when Durant abandoned Oklahoma City to join up with the two-time defending Western Conference champions in July. Its nice learning lessons in wins, but I think were a better team since the last time we stepped foot in this building, Curry said. Were still trending in the right direction. You dont take anything for granted, but its nice we put together consecutive good performances.INGRAMS ACTIONBrandon Ingram had eight points on 3-for-18 shooting in his second NBA start, getting valuable experience as the Lakers offensive focus in the absence of Russell and Randle, his fellow blue chip youngsters. Ingram, the No. 2 pick in last summers draft, went 1 for 10 in the first half, but kept firing while grabbing nine rebounds.LAKERS HURTINGRussell is out for at least two weeks after missing three of the previous four games with a sore left knee, while Randle missed his second straight game with a hip pointer. Young missed his first game all season after spraining his toe earlier in the week during a game against Oklahoma City in which he hit the game-winning 3-pointer.GREEN SCREENEDClark was prone under the basket when Green fell and tripped over his head. Clark was hit in the throat, but showed no sign of a concussion, the Warriors said. Green rolled his ankle and didnt realize he had stepped on his teammate. After skipping the fourth quarter and putting ice on his leg, he hopes to play Saturday back home in Oakland.UP NEXTWarriors: Host Timberwolves on Saturday.Lakers: Host Hawks on Sunday. But Hernandez is apparently no stranger to violence. Since he was arrested last week in the shooting death of a friend whose body was found a mile away from Hernandezs home, a portrait has emerged of a man whose life away from the field included frequent encounters with police that started as long ago as his freshman year at the University of Florida. An acquaintance who sued Hernandez, claiming he was shot after a fight in a strip club earlier this year. A 2007 bar fight that left a restaurant worker with a burst eardrum. An unsolved double killing at a Boston nightclub last summer. All violent incidents, all with possible ties to the once-dominating athlete who now sits in a private cell for his own protection. Hernandez has pleaded not guilty in the shooting death of 27-year-old Odin Lloyd, whose body was found June 17 not far from Hernandezs North Attleborough, Mass., mansion. His defence team has called the case circumstantial and said Hernandez looks forward to clearing his name. Authorities searched a Franklin condominium Hernandez had rented and found the same calibre ammunition used in Lloyds slaying and a white hooded sweatshirt and a baseball cap similar to those Hernandez was allegedly wearing that night, according to search warrant records in Wrentham District Court. But even before the 23-year-olds recent arrest, public records and interviews show he had been involved in police inquiries in the past, first in Florida and then in the Boston area. A sworn court complaint from Floridas Eighth Judicial Circuit details Hernandezs apparent involvement in an April 2007 fight at a restaurant called The Swamp in Gainesville. The partially redacted document says the restaurant worker told police that Hernandez, who was then 17, punched him in the head while he was escorting the subject out of the business after a dispute about payment of a bill. Tim Tebow, now a member of the Patriots and at the time Floridas star quarterback, is listed as a witness. The report said Hernandez asked him to intervene in the verbal dispute before the assault. The complaint classifies the offence as "felony battery." It wasnt clear Tuesday how the case was resolved. Also in 2007, Hernandez was among three Florida football players and another who had gone on to the NFL who were questioned by Gainesville police after a double shooting that happened after a Florida loss. Police said the players provided the information investigators wanted. No charges were filed. A request for comment left Tuesday evening with a spokesman for Hernandezs legal team was not immediately returned. Although Hernandez is facing a murder charge, his current legal troubles may not end there. Police in his hometown of Bristol, Conn., said Tuesday that Boston police asked for their help with a double homicide investigation linked to the former NFL star. Bristol Police Lt. Kevin Morrell said the request was based on evidence developed through the investigation of Lloyds slaying. He said police were asked to search the same home in Bristol for both investigations, and they seized a vehicle at the address Friday.dddddddddddd. Two men died in the shooting in Bostons South End on July 15, 2012, and another was wounded. Witnesses reported seeing gunfire coming from a grey SUV with Rhode Island license plates. Authorities said 29-year-old Daniel Jorge Correia de Abreu and 28-year-old Safiro Teixeira Furtado were killed, but police didnt identify the third victim. Boston police have declined to comment on whether Hernandez is being looked at as a possible suspect in that case. Over the weekend, a man who is reportedly married to Hernandezs cousin was killed in a car crash in Connecticut. Thaddeus Singleton III, 33, of Bristol, was driving the car when it went airborne early Sunday and crashed into the wall of the Farmington Country Club, becoming lodged 5 feet above the ground, police said. They said the car was registered to a man, reportedly Hernandezs uncle, whose home has been searched several times, most recently on Tuesday, and from which the vehicle was seized on Friday. A 27-year-old female passenger was injured. Authorities said the investigation into the crash would take a significant amount of time, but Farmington police said they had no knowledge that is was linked to the Hernandez case. Hernandez has been connected to still more incidents involving guns, although none has resulted in criminal charges against him. A man who claims Hernandez shot him in the face in February after an argument at a Florida strip club filed a civil lawsuit days before police arrested Hernandez. Plaintiff Alexander Bradley claims Hernandez shot him with a handgun, causing him to lose his right eye. But after someone found the Connecticut man bleeding in an alley behind a Palm Beach County store following the sound of a gunshot, he told police he didnt know who shot him and gave only a vague description of possible assailants. Bradleys lawyer, David Jaroslawicz, wouldnt comment Tuesday about the nature of the alleged dispute between his client and Hernandez. He said the two flew to South Florida together before getting into a dispute at a Miami club. The attorney said Bradley, who worked for Stanley Steamer before the shooting, had done some work for Hernandez and that the two also hung out socially a few times and had known each other for several years. "Whether or not Hernandez shot him deliberately or accidentally only Hernandez can tell us and right now hes not doing too much talking," Jaroslawicz said in a phone interview. Authorities have also linked Hernandez to a May 18 fight outside a bar in Providence, R.I., that involved a gun. A prosecutor with the Bristol County district attorneys office has said that a man who matched the description of a man seen on video with Hernandez on the night of Lloyds slaying was seen putting a gun under a car during the Rhode Island incident. Authorities traced that gun to a Florida gun shop. Then following Lloyds death, police said they recovered a .22-calibre gun about a quarter-mile from the defendants home -- a weapon authorities said was traced to the same store. ' ' '
