The mystery package at the centre of a UK Anti-Doping investigation contained the decongestant Fluimucil, Team Sky principal Sir Dave Brailsford said on Monday.Speaking at a Culture, Media and Sport select committee hearing, Brailsford confirmed the nature of a delivery made by British Cycling coach Simon Cope to Team Sky at the 2011 Dauphine Libere, a key race in the build-up to the Tour de France, after fellow cycling chiefs had pleaded ignorance.Committee chair Damian Collins MP had earlier asked British Cycling president Bob Howden, chair of the British Cycling ethics commission Dr George Gilbert and former Team Sky coach Shane Sutton about the package, with none of the three able to offer any new information. When Brailsford appeared later, he said: [Team Sky doctor Richard] Freeman told me it was Fluimucil for a nebuliser. That was what was in the package. It was what Dr Freeman told me.Fluimucil is a decongestant used for clearing mucus.Brailsford was not party to the issue of the package at the time but subsequently launched an investigation and determined the particulars.Brailsford also told the committee the medical records of Sir Bradley Wiggins, Team Skys lead rider at the event, had been passed to UKAD.My understanding is they have been made available to UKAD, he asserted.Brailsfords disclosures came after a confusing morning at Westminster, which began with committee chair Collins producing an email from UKAD encouraging questions about the mystery package due to wide public interest in the subject. That appeared to directly oppose the understanding of British Cycling, which claimed UKAD had asked it not to talk about the issue due to their own ongoing investigation into alleged wrongdoing at Team Sky and cyclings national governing body.Howden and Dr Gilbert, chair of the organisations ethics commission and Brailsford himself all reiterated their surprise at UKADs communication with the committee, indicating it represented a sharp change in their policy.A British Cycling statement issued later said: Throughout this process UK Anti-Doping have instructed British Cycling not to comment on their investigation and to avoid making our own enquiries as the policing of anti-doping falls wholly within their remit. This was reiterated with specific regard to our evidence to the select committee.Brailsford, British Cycling, Cope, Freeman and Wiggins all strongly deny breaking any anti-doping rules.Several follow-up questions surrounding the efficiency of Cope flying out medical supplies from Manchester to France, via Geneva, when it might be more easily sourced locally were batted back by Brailsford. If that was the sole purpose of someone flying out, it would be an extreme step. The facts of the matter are that Simon Cope was flying out anyway, he said. Its the easiest possible way. Hes got his own store in Manchester, hes coming out already. It may be where the whole situation has been slightly misled...that the whole purpose of Simon Copes trip to the end of the Dauphine wasnt to deliver a package. He was coming anyway. He was coming and he was asked to bring something from the doctors store. NEW ORLEANS -- Jrue Holiday doesnt concern himself with who is guarding Anthony Davis, or how many defenders flock to the Pelicans prolific power forward.Given Davis recent form, Holiday just wants to get him the ball.Id give it to him with four people on him, Holiday said. It doesnt really matter. He scores that easily.Davis had 41 points and 16 rebounds, helping New Orleans dominate the short-handed Los Angeles Lakers 105-88 on Tuesday night. The Lakers expected to be healthier with forward Julius Randle returning to the lineup following a three-game absence because of a hip injury, but about two minutes into the game, starting shooting guard Nick Young was carried off with a strained right Achilles tendon.Lou Williams scored 16 points for the Lakers and Randle finished with 12 points and 10 rebounds, but Los Angeles was in a 20-point hole by the second quarter and never recovered. The first half we shot ourselves in the foot by playing poor defense, Randle said. In the second half, we played well defensively; we just missed a lot of open shots that we usually make.Davis, meanwhile, is now averaging 31.8 points per game for New Orleans and shows no sign of slowing down. Hes scored 36 or more in four of his last six games, breaking 40 twice in that span.I put in so much work to try and better myself as a basketball player, and when Im on the floor I feel like no one can stop me, Davis said. Its just making the right read. And when he has help, New Orleans can be tough to beat.Playing in his seventh game since returning from personal leave, Holiday started for the first time this season and scored 22 points. He got us off to a good start, Pelicans coach Alvin Gentry said, noting that Holiday also played well defensively. Having him out there, its just a calming effect and obviously having him out there with A.D. -- that combination is really good for us.Omer Asik added 10 points and 11 assists while New Orleans snapped a two-game skid.TIP-INSLakers: With Williams outscoring his teammates in New Orleans, it marked the 14th time in 19 games that a reserve has been the Lakers high scorer.dddddddddddd ... Brown finished with seven points, six rebounds and two assists.DOMINANT DAVISThe 6-foot-11 Davis didnt have any dunks -- somewhat unusual for him -- but he scored in just about every other way possible. There were turnarounds from the post, mid-range jumpers, as well as off-balance floaters and runners as he was fouled. When the Lakers briefly threatened to get back in the game, cutting their deficit from 28 to 19 in the third quarter, Davis answered with a driving layup and straightaway 3.I was just trying to take over the game and not let them come back, Davis said.Davis, who also had four steals, three assists and two blocks, even dived to the floor to fight for a loose ball with New Orleans up by 24 in the third quarter, tying up Luol Deng for a jump ball.YOUNGS NEXT STEPThe Lakers said Young is slated to have an MRI on Wednesday to better gauge the severity of his injury.
