Connacht beat Glasgow 16-11 in their Guinness PRO12 play-off to set up an all-Irish final against Leinster next Saturday. It was an emotional win for Connacht, who will feature in a PRO12 final for the first time in their history. Glasgow on the other hand will rue a spate of handling errors and ill-discipline that kept them just out of reach.Winger Niyi Adeolokun scored Connachts only try of the day, with fly-half Jack MacGinty contributing 11 points with the boot. Fijian second row Leone Nakarawa scored a try for the visitors, while Duncan Weir, on as a replacement in the first minute after Finn Russell was taken off on a stretcher following a collision, kicked two penalties.Glasgow had a glimmer of hope when replacement Connacht prop Rodney Ah You was shown a yellow card with eight minutes remaining, but the Scots could not make the extra man count as the home side successfully closed out the game.Connacht will face Leinster in the PRO12 final on May 28 in Edinburgh, live on Sky Sports. Bundee Aki lead the Connacht celebrations after they secured a place in the Pro 12 final. The intense atmosphere as the teams ran out was quelled right at the beginning of the match when Russell was caught in an unfortunate collision, causing the referee to stop the match immediately as the Scotland international was taken from the field. He collided with team-mate Zander Fagerson, who also left the field. The visitors seemed unable to find their rhythm thereafter, but the Irish side were no better as both teams played their typical expansive game despite passes not going to hand.In the end it was Connacht who were first to stamp their mark on the game, with man of the match Bundee Aki running hard with the ball to bring his team within touching distance of the line. Bundee Aki and Stuart Hogg give their reaction after Connacht booked their place in the Pro 12 final. The territorial pressure finally paid off as Connacht won a penalty in the opposition half, and MacGinty made it 3-0 after 23 minutes. However the Warriors hit back with a Weir penalty to draw level three minutes later.Adeolokun then crossed for his try, taking a long pass on the right touchline before stepping inside Warriors full-back Stuart Hogg and shrugging off the last two defenders to give Connacht a 10-3 lead at the break.Nakarawa scored minutes after half-time to bring his side within two of Connacht, but Weir could not draw level with his conversion attempt.MacGinty then took Connacht to a five point lead as the third quarter drew to a close, but just as they had in the first half, Connacht immediately conceded a penalty of their own to hand Weir the chance to cancel out MacGintys effort. Weir made no mistake, reinstating the two-point deficit. Bundee Aki of Connacht tackles Peter Horne of Glasgow Glasgows poor discipline then saw a series of penalties conceded in their own half, and though initially MacGinty opted to kick for the corner each time rather than risk a speculative shot at goal in the wind, the fly-half finally relented and called for the kicking tee in the 64th minute. His attempt brushed past the inside of the left upright, giving his side a 16-11 lead with just over 15 minutes remaining.Connacht then knocked on while on the attack near the Glasgow line, and when Hogg tried to run the ball out of his in-goal area, he was hit but a reckless high shot from Ah You, which saw the prop sent to the bin to see out the match from the sidelines.Glasgow threw everything at their hosts with the man advantage, but once again were haunted by shoddy handling which cost them every threatening chance. Jerseys Cheap .Y. -- Injured Buffalo Sabres forward Marcus Foligno did not practice with the team Monday and head coach Ron Rolston said its unlikely hell play in Wednesdays season opener in Detroit. Melbourne Victory have their swagger back and midfielder James Troisi isnt afraid to crow about it.Saturday nights 2-1 derby success capped a fantastic two months for the A-League club, which has won six of eight games to roar to second on the table. With home games against Central Coast and Newcastle next on the fixture list, Kevin Muscats men could be forgiven for thinking that run could well extend further. But its turning the tables on Melbourne City thats brought most Christmas cheer to the navy blue half of Melbourne. Not since round 10 last season had Victory sat above City on the ladder, a year-long wait ended on Saturday.Coupled with two derby defeats earlier in the season, midfielder Troisi said it was a state of affairs that drove Victory on.We know who the biggest team in the A-League is and who the biggest team in Melbourne is, he said on Tuesday. We proved that (on Saturday night) and well continue to improve and prove that to the doubters. We definitely had a great game. (We) put it to them and in the first half probably should have been three or four goals up.Its always fantastic winning your derbies (but) the position were in on the ladder is more important and the form were building is fantastic.Troisi is a key reason for Victorys burst up the table. The 28-year-old Asian Cup winner was a popular man-of-the-match for a buzzing display in his preferred No.10 role.Combined with ffleet-footed winger Marco Rojas, the pair have been in irrepressible form over the last month.ddddddddddddAgainst City, Rojas maintained his record of scoring or assisting in every A-League match hes played in this season by doing both. Both left Victory for European clubs but have found themselves back in Melbourne. Troisi said their shared experience helped them bond.Me and Marco are on the same wavelength, he said.He knows what the clubs like and they know what hes like. Being back in Melbourne, playing for a great club, hes doing wonders for us.Troisi hopes he is playing himself back into Ange Postecoglous Socceroos plans with his form but insists his focus is on the week in, week out at Victory. But could the pairs form be so good that they could be poached in the January transfer window? Its a situation Victory coach Kevin Muscat knows well, having fought battles to keep Mitch Nichols, Adrian Leijer and Mark Milligan - with mixed results - in previous summers.Troisi didnt dismiss the prospect but said he was focused on winning a first club title of his career.I just want to keep playing, performing personally and for the team. I want to win the league, he said.Moving or anything like that is not in the back of my mind. Im focused on doing well for the club. ' ' '
