Garrett Sams added 16 points and for the Ospreys, who were held to 33.3 percent shooting.UConn led by five at halftime. When the best player on the floor has to deal with that constantly and then make shots over shot-blockers like that and do those things, it wears on you.The Huskies average margin of victory in their previous four wins was 4.5 points, and that included an 11-point victory over Division II Chaminade. Our bigs pretty much dominated the game, said UConn coach Kevin Ollie.BIG PICTUREUConn: The Huskies are holding teams to just over 38 percent shooting for the year and held their three previous opponents to 30.3 percent. Their losses this year include road games at Auburn, Syracuse, LSU, and Arkansas. They fell to Miami and Florida at home. But Driscoll said he doesnt buy into the theory that playing those teams will help his guys when they face Atlantic Sun opponents. We do this because we have to bring in a large amount of money for our athletic department, he said. That wears on you. Wouldnt you rather play a lesser of a schedule and have more wins and give your guys confidence that way?MORE ON MOOREMoore had scored 30 or more points in in four of his last five outings . Adams said he and the other UConn guards were determined not to let that happen against them.We knew we just had to lock in on him, Adams said. No. 7 Virginia and Providence enter Saturday nights championship game of the Emerald Coast Classic having played several of the same opponents so far this season. After the Cavaliers dismantled Iowa 74-41 and Providence took care of Memphis 60-51 in Friday nights semifinal games, the two teams will meet after sharing two common opponents already, and one on the way when Virginia plays Ohio State Wednesday night. Both teams have wins over Grambling State and St. Francis Brooklyn and the Friars only loss this season came at the hands of Ohio State.Virginia has continued its dominance on the defensive end of the court as Iowa became the fourth straight opponent that the Cavaliers held to 41 points of fewer. The Cavaliers only opponent to top 41 was UNC Greensboro (51 points) in the season-opener.Iowa was slated to be Virginias toughest test to date, but the Cavaliers dominated the Hawkeyes in every facet of the game as they dished out 18 assists and never trailed again after Iowa scored the first two points of the game.Providence shot just 40 percent in their win over Memphis but held the Tigers to 34 percent shooting as they will be the toughest defensive opponent the Cavaliers have faced all season. The Friars allow just 58 points per game but have had trouble scoring the basketball so far -- something that wont bode well against the Cavaliers.Forward Rodney Bullock has averaged 21 points per game and continued his strong play with an 18-point performance against Memphis.ddddddddddddVirginia is looking for its fourth straight regular-season tournament title after winning the Charleston Classic last year. The Cavaliers win over Iowa marked just their third win in the state of Florida in the past 22 tries. Virginia put three players in double figures against the Hawkeyes and will need to continue to shoot the ball at the 50 percent clip they have been this season to maneuver the Providence defense. The Friars also put three players in double figures scoring in their semifinal win but got just 10 points from their bench, something that will need to improve against Virginias defense. The Cavaliers have used their bench to their advantage all season and that was no different against Iowa. Virginia got 31 points from their bench, including a career-high 14 points from forward Jared Reuter -- a possible defensive matchup for Bullock.Providence will look to be the first team to solve the undefeated Cavaliers this season but it wont be easy. Virginias hot shooting from the perimeter will provide a challenge for a Friar team that has defended the three-point shot well this season, but against lower competition. The Friars and Cavaliers are set to tip off for the tournament title Saturday night at 7p.m. ET.
