Whether he is staying or going, Toronto Raptors president and general manager Bryan Colangelo will learn his fate this weekend. Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment, and new CEO Tim Leiweke, reportedly has until Monday to decide whether or not to pick up the option for next season on Colangelos contract and is expected to meet with him this weekend. The Raptors finished 34-48 this season and missed the playoffs for a fifth straight year. While it is still possible that Colangelo will return to his post for next season, MLSE recently hired recruitment agency Korn/Ferry International to seek out potential replacements. And, according to a report from Yahoo! Sports Adrian Wojnarowski, MLSE would like to replace Colangelo with current Denver Nuggets general manager Masai Ujiri. Ujiri, who was the Raptors assistant GM from 2008 to 2010, was named the NBAs Executive of the Year earlier this month. The Nuggets finished third in the Western Conference this season with a 57-25 record. They were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs by Golden State. Ujiris contract in Denver expires this summer but, according to Wojnarowski, he has had talks with Nuggets ownership about a possible extension. Other names that have been mentioned as possible replacements for Colangelo include Indiana Pacers GM Kevin Pritchard and Troy Weaver, vice-president and assistant general manager of the Oklahoma City Thunder. Colangelo joined the Raptors on February 28, 2006 – exactly one day after he had resigned his position as president and general manager with the Phoenix Suns. In his first full season on the job in 2006-07, the Raptors won their only Atlantic division title in franchise history and earned the third seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs. Colangelo was named the NBAs executive of the year following the season. The team again qualified for the playoffs in 2007-08 with a 41-41 record. However, they have not finished with a record above .500 since. Nike Air Force 1 Clearance Sale .
